This is a membership certificate for George M Young for the Loudounhill Golf Club, now defunct, in Ayrshire. He has paid for a half year's subscription. The full year's cost is shown as 10s 6d, approximately 80 cents at today's exchange rates.
Little is known about this club (by us, at least) other than the fact that Edward McIntosh was the professional/greenkeeper about the time this certificate was issued and remained there until at least 1913.
